You are here: ->Start -> Settings -> Import data
To import your first product catalog, it is necessary that you have already created a shop. Once you have created your first shop, you can import your first product catalog as follows:
Click on the "Settings" button in the start area.
Click on the button "Import data" in your shop.
A form for the settings of your feed will open. You first take care of part 1: "Data Source".
Specify what type of data source your feed is. There are several options:
HTTP/HTTPS: Choose this type if your product catalog is accessible via a web server. Most shop systems store the product catalog publicly. If you use a .htacces password protection, you can also enter the access data.
FTP: If you have stored your product catalog on a FTP server, choose this type. Enter the server name, the port (default: 21), the relative path to your product catalog on the server and if necessary the access data.
SFTP: Works like FTP, but encrypted via SSL. The default port for SFTP is 990.
Upload catalog as file: You can also upload your catalog manually as from a file.
Click on "Check Source & Continue".
Now the 2nd area "Data format" opens.
CSV:
Specify the separators in your feed (usually automatically detected in CSV) and whether field delimiters are included.
If necessary, you can also specify the maximum number of incorrect lines (e.g. for multiple field delimiters).
XML:
Click "Load Preview" and check if the preview of your feed is correct.
Now the 3rd area "Additional settings" opens.
Specify which data field in your feed contains the unique article number.
With a click on "Download" select the interval at which you want your feed to be updated.
Click "Save and import".
Now your first feed is ready!
