EPREL = European Product Registry for Energy Labeling

It is an EU-wide mandatory online registry in which manufacturers/importers must enter their energy‑related products before they are placed on the EU market. This includes, for example:

  • Washing machines

  • Refrigerators

  • Televisions

  • Lamps

  • Power supplies/transformers

  • Household appliances subject to energy labelling requirements

EPREL serves transparency for authorities, retailers, consumers, and marketplaces.

The EPREL registration number is:

  • An alphanumeric reference (e.g., EPREL_1234567890)

  • A unique entry in the EPREL database system

  • Mandatory for products subject to EU energy labelling and ecodesign regulations

It ensures that:

  • Product data can be retrieved in the official EU register

  • Retailers and marketplaces can access mandatory information (label, technical data, energy efficiency classes)

  • Authorities can verify conformity
