With the category management you can exclude single articles or whole categories from online marketing. As soon as you have specified the format of your category paths, your category tree is built up on the left side of the view.
On the right side are the individual articles. The individual categories and subcategories can be expanded and collapsed.
Activate / Deactivate categories
With the slider next to the categories you can activate/deactivate them.
If a whole category is deactivated, all associated subcategories are also deactivated.
Deactivated categories and the items listed there are excluded from online marketing, they are no longer displayed via the channels connected to the store.
On the right side of the view, you can see how individual articles are also deactivated when their category is deactivated.
Activate / Deactivate articles
Individual items can also be deactivated on the right side and thus excluded from the channel listing.
Activating/deactivating individual articles decouples them from being controlled by their category.
For example, if their parent category is deactivated, the previously manually activated article will no longer be deactivated.
Only when you click on "Save changes" the changes will become active and affect the article listing.
