With repricing, you can use the market data and your free definable formulas to get a new price calculated for every single one of your items. This will help you reach your desired position in the marketing channels. You can import these new prices directly in your shop with Channel Pilot Pro API and you can also export them as text data.
PRICE LISTS
If you want to use repricing with Channel Pilot Pro, you first have to create a price list. A price list always contains a price for every product. This can be the same as the price in the feed or it can be a price recommendation given by Channel Pilot Pro based on market prices and formulas. You can also compile several price lists. For example, you can compile several price lists for different channels or for time periods where you want to make specific offers.
When you create a new price list, you have to assign a name to it and set a price limit. The price limit is very important to ensure that the price of your product does not go below the price limit. If you want to take your prices directly from Channel Pilot Pro, you can either submit the price limit in your feed to Channel Pilot Pro or you can also calculate it with your Personal Data Field.
You can either place the selected price lists back in the shop control feature or on price comparison sites. For example, you can create a price list for idealo and then you can select it directly as a price in PSM/Feedengine > Channels in the Idealo channel. Once your export feed is created, the new price will be delivered to Idealo automatically. Then, you will need to make sure the price displayed in your shop is correct.
In the price list settings, you can change the name of the price lists and the price limits. In addition, you can set whether your data feed inherits price changes or whether the repricing prices should be kept.
Furthermore, you have the following setting options regarding the price lists.
PRICE SETTINGS
Adjusting the table below the prices is the core of repricing in Channel Pilot Pro provided that you have recorded a price formula for your article. Then, you will get a new price suggestion for every single one of your items. Here, you can assign your formulas to your items, adopt new prices or begin the automatic price adjustment (Auto-Repricing). The table has the following columns:
Error: When an error is detected in an item, a red exclamation mark will appear
Item number: The item number of your product
Item name: Your product’s name
Group: Groups containing items, separated by commas
LPL: The price limit of your item
Current: The current price of your item for this price list
Formula: This will be the currently assigned formula or MANUAL, if no formula has been previously assigned
Automatic: If the auto repricing is activated, a small gear wheel will appear
New: Repricing’s new price suggestion
Price adopted: If a suggested price has been accepted, a tick will appear
Price difference: The difference between current and suggested price
Additional costs: The item’s additional cost
Total costs: The total costs result from the new prices plus additional costs
Alt: Item’s position in the channel with its current price.
Position change: Change of position upon acceptance of the new proposed price
New: New position of the item upon acceptance of the new proposed price
If you move the cursor over the single slots, three buttons will appear. By clicking on the first one (spanner), you will open a new section below the row. In this section, you will see detailed information on the item. On the right side, you will see a table with information on your competitors and their prices. In the table row in the formula column, you can see a selection box appear. Here, you can assign your items a formula. Furthermore, you can change your item’s new price. However, this entails that your item's formula would change back to MANUAL. You can see the changes in the price and in the formula directly in the table as your position changes in comparison to your competitors. You can either Apply your changes or discard them by clicking on Cancel. By clicking on the second button, you can activate the auto-repricing provided that you have recorded the item with a formula. The last button leads you to accept a manually-changed price. Before the prices are saved in the price list, they have to be inherited by clicking on the button Inherit accepted price below the table. Below the table, you will find Bulk change. Due to the bulk change, you can assign formulas to a large number of items, accept their prices or activate the auto-repricing for these items.
PRICE FORMULA MANAGEMENT
In order to let Channel Pilot Pro calculate a new price for your items, you have to create one or more price formulas. The price formulas function similarly to your Personal Data Fields and Filter in the shop control feature. With them, you can access all data fields from your feed such as your Personal Data Fields, your Filters or the market prices of your competitors.
An easy formula for new prices would be the following:
bestPrice - 1
This formula would set your item one euro cheaper than the best price. Normally, you would be advised to use further parameters such as additional costs or average prices.
You can find a detailed description of price formulas in the following link: here.
EXPORT SETTINGS
After you have allocated prices to your items with Channel Pilot Pro, the next step is to apply these new prices to your online shop. For this purpose, you can use Channel Pilot Pro's API tool or you can export the price lists as a text document or XML. You can define the format of your exports: the export already contains your item number, the names of your items and the new price. You can add to the exports additional fields from your feed or from your Personal Data Fields.
Above the table, you can find the link to your price list. You can open it with your browser and download the data. By clicking on the button Further Settings, you can also select an FTP/SFTP server. Your price list will be uploaded every hour on the specified server.
PRICE HISTORY
In the price history column, you can find information on the price development of your items. Enter the item number or the name in the text box and a table with all of the price changes will appear. The table includes any type of price changes - manual price changes in the price list, changes made via auto repricing or price changes conducted through your data feed. The table is not the only tool displaying the price change as these are also illustrated with graphs.
