Configure grouped request

Configure automatic queries to get price data for your items

You are here: Market Price Analysis -> Settings

With the Channel Pilot Pro market price analysis, you can retrieve prices from competitors and their rankings from various channels in order to derive trends and position yourself optimally in the market.

Using a grouped request, you can configure for which articles and from which channels market data will be retrieved. You can also define at which times these queries will be made.

Apply a grouped request

  1. Click on "Apply New Grouped Request"

  2. Specify a name for the new query group in the window that opens and then click "Apply New Grouped request".

  3. Open the "grouped request" you just created.

  4. Activate the "grouped request". This takes effect only after saving.

  5. Add a filter to limit the items of your product catalog that are included in the query. If you leave this field blank, price data will be requested for all items in your product catalog.

  6. Click "Add Channels".

  7. Select the channels from which you want to get price data by clicking on them. Channel Pilot Pro offers you a wide range of channels with different specializations and from different countries.

    • To remove an already selected channel, click on it and select "Remove Channel".

  8. Under "Schedule Request time" click "Add configuration".

  9. Now you can set regular polling times:

    • Status: Switch the request times on or off here.

    • Configured start time: Select when the request should start. You have the choice between daily or weekly repetition:

      • Multiple selection of days a week:

      • Multiple selection of hours a day:

    • Delete: This allows you to delete a request time.

    • Add configuration: Add more query times.

    • Calendar view: Check your queries via the calendar overview:

  10. If you want to receive notifications and a report about your requests, you can activate it here and enter your mail address.

  11. With the result filter you can optionally define the criteria according to which Channel Pilot Pro should pre-filter the retrieval results for you.

    • Condition filter: Select whether you only want to receive price data for used items, for example.

    • Availability filter: Select whether you only want to receive price data for certain availabilities (e.g. only long-term available).

    • Flag filter: Filter by certain attributes that some channels assign to their items (e.g. only Prime delivery).

  12. Click on "Save grouped request". The first query will start when the next query time, set by you, occurs.

  13. After saving, you can optionally create a standard report for each queried channel, if it does not already exist.

    • Yes: The report is created in the background. You can access the report directly via the link that is then displayed.

    • No or Do not create report: No report will be created. You can also do this later and individually under Reports.

Exclude Competitors

If you want to exclude one or more competitors from your query, you can do so here. This can be useful, for example, if you do not want to reprice against certain competitors. Price data of these stores will be filtered out of the results afterwards and will not be available to you (not even in the report).

  1. Select the channel where you do not want to receive price data for a specific store.

  2. Enter the exact name of the store you want to exclude. An input support will help you.

  3. Click + (plus).

  4. Add as many stores as you like to the exclusion as described before.

This functionality first applies after the next scheduled price request.

Identify own shop

Here you can select your own store(s), so that their price data is stored in the "Own_..." data fields of the exports. This gives you an additional overview in the exports.

  1. First select the channel where you do not want to receive price data for a specific store.

  2. Then enter the exact name of the store you want to exclude. An input support will help you with this.

    1. In order for the store you are looking for to appear in the input support, a query for the channel must have been run beforehand.

  3. Then click the + (plus).

  4. Add as many stores as you like to the exclusion as described before.

If you select multiple stores at this point, then the data of the best placed store will always be stored in the "Own_..." data fields.

This functionality first applies after the next scheduled price request.

Exclude own shop

You can exclude your own shop(s) from the query, so they do not appear in the reports. For example, because their prices are already available in Channel Pilot Pro.

This changes the ranking of the stores within an export. Stores with a lower ranking than the excluded one automatically move up one position.

However, the "Own_Rank" data field remains unaffected by this exclusion and displays the ranking as it is on the channel's website.

Example:

The results of a query are displayed in the export as follows (no store identified or excluded):

  • Rank 1: Shop1

  • Rank 2: Shop2

  • Rank 3: Shop3

  • Rank 4: Shop4

  • Own_shop: n/a

  • Own_rank: n/a

Now you identify Shop2 as your own store and exclude it by switch. The export changes as follows:

  • Rank 1: Shop1

  • Rank 2: Shop3

  • Rank 3: Shop4

  • Rank 4: n/a

  • Own_Shop: Shop2

  • Own_rank: 2

This functionality first applies after the next scheduled price request.
