Export Configuration

Customize your export to fit your demands.

You are here: Feedengine -> Export -> Channel Settings -> Export Settings

With the export customization of a channel, you can individually define which of your data field is exported via which export data field of the channel. By default, the settings from your global data field assignment you made after the product catalog import, are automatically applied here. You recognize them by this symbol:

Important: Discuss changes during operation with the respective channel. Otherwise changes during operation may cause the channel to no longer list your articles.

Retrieve and customize data field information

If you move the mouse pointer over the data field, you will see an exclamation mark appear on the left-hand side.

If you click on this, an overview opens. Here you will see a description of the content that is intended for the data field. You can also change the "Data field type" here.

NOTE: If you change the "Data field type", this may result in your export no longer running correctly.

Customize export data fields

You can individually fill the export data fields of the channel (left) with the correct data from your source data fields (center) by assigning them to the export data fields:

  1. Click on the source data field to be customized in the corresponding row.

  2. Select a data source for the export data field.

  3. Now proceed in this way with all data fields that you can/want to specify. Please note the priority of the export data fields, which is given by the channel:

    • C: Mandatory, which must be assigned in order to list on the channel.

    • O: The assignment is recommended by Channel Pilot Pro.

    • - : Export field present at the channel, but has no special priority.

  4. Use the "Preview" button to check if the correct value is displayed for the data fields. You can also enter a specific item number to test the values for a specific item.

  5. If everything is correct, click on "Save" below the table.

As soon as you save changes, the export for the channel is adjusted in the background. This can take a few minutes up to a maximum of one hour.

Add other export fields

You can add additional fields to the export to export more data. This is useful if you have a special agreement with the respective channel and they process the data from the field.

  1. Click on "Add field" below the table.

    • An additional field will be appended to the table.

  2. Rename the data field according to the channel's specifications using the pencil icon.

  3. Press "Enter" on the keyboard to accept the field name.

  4. Select a data source for the export data field.

  5. Use the "Preview" button to check if the correct value is displayed for the data fields.

You can also enter a specific item number to test the values for a specific item.

  6. If everything is correct, click on "Save" below the table.

As soon as you save changes, the export for the channel is adjusted in the background. This can take a few minutes up to a maximum of one hour.

Transformation

Some channels have certain format definitions for individual fields, for which Channel Pilot Pro offers an automatic transformation to comply with them.

This way you don't have to create a separate data field for this operation.

Activate the automatic transformation (if available) via the checkbox in the line.

Example: Google expects the price in ISO 4217 format -> Channel Pilot Pro exports it automatically in this format if the transformation is enabled.
