Advanced export settings

You are here: Feedengine -> Exports -> Within an export -> Advanced settings

Once you have set up your export, you can make various changes to your export at any time.

The procedure for your own exports is the same as for channel exports.

IMPORTANT: Discuss all changes with the channel in advance. Changes can lead to your items no longer being listed.

Apply format for exported data feeds

Here you can adjust the format of the generated feed, the encoding and also the compression.

  1. Customize export type

    4. Velocity - Velocity - Please note that this field is only visible if it has previously been activated by an account manager. All information on the topic "Velocity Template" can be found here.

  2. Encoding

    1. ANSI

    2. UTF-8

  3. Enable compression?

  4. Separator

    1. Comma (,)

    2. Semicolon (;)

    3. Vertical bar or pipe (|)

    4. Tabulator (→)

    5. Hash character (#)

    6. Colon (:)

  5. Decimal separator

    A decimal separator is only important for data fields that have the type "Numeric". You can find out how to check this here.

    1. Dot (.)

    2. Comma (,)

  6. Characters for field delimitation

    1. Inverted commas (")

    2. Apostrophe (')

Once you have made all the settings, click on "Save". Only then will your changes be applied.

NOTE: If you use "Velocity Template", you can create your template from here. You can find all information about "Velocity Template" here.

(S)FTP-Upload settings

If you activate the (S)FTP upload, the export feed will be uploaded to the server you have configured every time you make a change.

Note: If the password contains special characters, replace the special characters with HTML-encoded characters.

Example: (:) %3a

  1. Click "Add connection".

  2. Fill in the necessary data.

  3. Click "Save".
